Requirements from the companies for issuing Employment Visa for Expatriates in Dubai
If you find a job successfully and signed the job offer, the employer should handle the application work permit and visa process on your behalf.
All business companies who wish to have staff is required to have the following in order to process the Visa:
- Valid Business License
- Immigration/ Establishment Card
- Company Labour Card
- E- Signature Card
- Immigration Online Account (not mandatory)
Other Requirements Information
- New Employment Visa Application Requirements
- Copy of Passport with at least 8-month validity (having at least 2 blank pages)
- Clear scan copy of the current visa (under a canceled visa or tourist visa)
- 4 pcs. Passport Photo (white background, not wearing hat or glasses)
- Copy of Education Certificate attested in the home country and MOFA in UAE Embassy (if profession requires)
- Copy of his Emirates ID card (front and back) – if available
- Employment Visa Renewal Application Requirements
- Original passport with at least 8-month validity (having at least 2 blank pages)
- 2 pcs. Passport Photo (white background, not wearing hat or glasses)
- Labor Card Copy
- Labour Contract Copy
- Valid Insurance
- Copy of Education Certificate attested in the home country and MOFA in UAE Embassy (if profession requires)
- Original Emirates ID
- Employment Visa Cancellation Requirements
- Clear Passport Copy
- Clear Residence Visa Copy
Important information
- Work Permit Skilled ProfessionThere are factors to be considered during the application for the visa which specify the profession that possesses your job titles according to the guidance of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization.Kindly be advised that due to the new MOHRE Regulations which started on 1st June 2022, New Joinee and Renewal Employee’s Profession Levels have changed it is now Skill Level 1-9.
- For Skilled Employees’ Classification Skill Level 1-5Attested UAE Embassy Home Country and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is now required for Skilled Level 1-5. These categories are as follows:
- Directorship and Managerial Positions – C-Level Positions, Managers and the like etc.
- Specialists – i.e. Engineer, Education Expert, Chemist, Architecture, Teacher, Financial Analyst and the like etc.
- Technician and Profession Assistants – Real Estate Property Manager, Construction Safety officer, Electrical Engineer Technician, Architecture Draftsperson, Water Treatment Plant Operator, Metal
- Furnace Operator and the like etc.
- Service and Salesworker Profession – Foreign Food cook, Cook, Waiter, Barber, Cleaning Supervisor, Shop Supervisor, Housekeeping Supervisor, Stall and Market Salesperson and the like etc.
- Data and Desk Support Staff – Archive Clerk, Secretary, Receptionist, Customer Service Clerk, Staff Clerk and the like etc.
- For Education Certificates required per Skill Level:
- Skill Level 1 & 2 – either of the following: Attested University (Bachelor’s degree) Master’s Degree or PhD required.
- Skill Level 3 & 4 – Attested Diploma Certificate
- Skill 5 – Attested Highschool or equivalent to 12th (grade/standard) Education Stage
- For Low-Skilled Employees’ Classification Skill Level 6-9These designations and professions does not require any attested Education Certificates
- Workers in Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries – Florist, Livestock and Dairy Farmer, Aquaculture Technician and the like etc.
- Craftsmen and Handicrafts worker – Steel fixer, Rigger, Airconditioning Mechanic Assistant, Messenger, Cleaner, Telecommunications Assistant and the like etc.
- Helper and Food Maker – Fast food maker, Kitchen Helper and Restaurant Maker
For the Final and Updated Employee Profession List, as per MOHRE they are still in the process of Updating the list in the MOHRE system. Therefore, we would recommend checking with us if the Profession is Skilled or Low-skilled prior to processing the application until we have the Updated Employee List.
Also, we would suggest that if you have an employee for Renewal and New Joiner – may we request to inform them to do Attestation (both UAE Embassy Home Country and MOFA) to avoid inconvenience and delay on the application (Renewal and New Joinee).
